AMB Athletics – Founder & Creator | Angie Benson
Angie Benson is the Founder and creator of AMB Athletics, building the program from the ground up with a clear vision to develop elite, disciplined athletes through a system rooted in fundamentals, consistency, and accountability. Originally from Florida, Angie competed at the Division I level at Towson University and Virginia Tech, where she established herself as one of the top goalkeepers in the country. At Towson, she ranked among the top in the nation in goals against average, was a CAA Champion, led the conference in save percentage, and earned All-Rookie Team honors.
After transferring to Virginia Tech, Angie elevated her performance to an elite level finishing second in the nation in goals against average, leading the country during the 2020 season, and setting the Virginia Tech program record for career goals against average. She went on to compete professionally in Athletes Unlimited and the By The Pros Lacrosse Series, continuing to perform at the highest level, and currently represents Team Jamaica internationally. Beyond her playing career, Angie has translated her experience into building AMB Athletics, a training system designed to create consistent, detail-oriented, and mentally tough athletes. Her approach focuses on mastering fundamentals, developing independence through virtual training, and creating “units” athletes who move, think, and compete at a high standard every time they step on the field.
